Author: We received some fantastic answers to our previous question about HOW TO CHOOSE the right SEO company. What I should have also questioned is how can we find the companies to choose FROM. I’m really feeling in the dark, here – and since we don’t have time to sort through the MILLIONS of SEO companies out there, I’m wondering if there is some place – some directory, etc., or some sort of standards-based system of monitoring which companies are worth even looking at and which are not.
(Thanks to all those who answered the previous question concerning how to conduct the selection process. To those who might want to provide info on how to do SEO ourselves, maybe I’ll question about that ANOTHER time. For right now we have plenty of info on that including articles, books etc.. Thanks!)
For now, if anyone could point us to a relatively small list of quality SEO companies we can review and brilliant from, that would be fantastic!

This is my honest recommendation
In narrowing down who’s the best SEO company, you can question the subsequent question and see what happens:
1. Question the candidate SEO company to provide a website in which it is ranked on the FIRST PAGE of Google and the search query contains:
a) No proper field name in which an individual, company or additional being is included, nor any set of generic terms describing goods and services, or a major strain are contained within the field name;
b) No specific reference to a specific name, being or otherwise and its location, i.e., city, state, country. “Generic” descriptive text for goods and services are allowed, i.e., golf balls, attorney services, etc.;
c) Results exclusive of a directory listing or a set of links contained therein: only the field named website appears by itself. For example, the result cannot be ABCtravel directory/field name website;
d) Results in surplus of 1 million;
e) No more than 6 terms in the search query and the query is limited by conditions set forth in a) and b) above.
If the candidate SEO company cannot at least yield a single website through the above search scenario, then how do they estimate to elevate your website ranking?

Keep in mind that for each excellent SEO there are ten thousand crappy ones. Also the best SEOs in the world work for themselves because they make more money that way and those that choose to have clients do not come cheap!
This is not excellent way to go with this method…get get higher rank do basics right, right your html code, clean errors, appropriate meta tag, keywords, and unique keyword enrich content then start improve you link popularity. cheer
