Mayor Dave Bing sues Detroit City Council over public-access TV
Detroit Mayor Dave Bing’s office sued the City Council on Tuesday for seizing control of the city’s public television programming. The lawsuit, filed in Wayne County Circuit Court, questions a judge to choose whether the council or mayor’s office should hold the margin of appointments to the Cable Commission, which operates public-access channels 10 and 22.
