<p>I appreciate that it&#8217;ll be too wide for older monitors but a lot of popular sites seem to be ignoring compliance. I&#8217;m not so much concerned with compliance as I am concerned with fashion. What width is in fashion for contemporary web design right now? Is a 1000 pixel fixed width alright  for website?</p>
